Drew, describe your design aesthetic in a few words?
Clean. Contemporary. Comfortable.
What do you love about using antiques in your designs?
I love incorporating antiques. I especially love when a client brings existing pieces forward from a past life, or as a part of an ongoing personal collection. The perfect rooms always sit you down comfortably and tell a great story. Antiques can be the punchline, or the “big idea,” or even the quiet, cohesive underpinning of the real message for a gorgeous space. Stunning antique furnishings and accessories add dimension, a sense of time and place, patina and a genuine sense of elegance to a space.
What inspires you?
People inspire me most. No doubt I also love travel and fashion and all the trappings and glitz that surrounds us all in the “material world,” but people really fascinate and inspire me most. I learn so much from friends, clients and experiences with people. I’d do without a whole lot in life to know I was cozied up next to right person at every minute and every step along the way.
