With a background studying art history and working in fashion, interior design was an easy transition for Eve Robinson. Her work has made regular appearances in multiple design publications ever since spearheading her own company ‘Eve Robinson & Associates’ 26 years ago. Her style is consistently clean and elegant and importantly retains design nods to her clients’ tastes. There is an art to creating spaces that feel luxurious without becoming ostentatious and Eve shows an ability to create this atmosphere time and time again throughout her company’s admirable portfolio.

ITALIAN SIDE TABLE
Describe your design aesthetic in a few words?
Clean-lined, comfortable interiors that use simplicity to define luxury and elegance.
What do you love about using antiques in your designs?
Antiques create a sense of timelessness that balances and harmonizes with the new. They provide a unique individuality to my projects.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by so many things! Art, architecture, fashion, color, nature, and food would be on the shortlist.
If you could design for a fictional character who would it be and why?
I would design for Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany’s. She has a youthful exuberance and passion for the city that would translate into beautiful interiors that would evolve and grow as her quest for the finer things in life continued.
What is your favorite LUXList piece and why? How would you use it?
The seven light gilt brass and crystal chandelier by Pawla (Ref 24A) is a show stopping piece. The crystal and metal details sparkle giving the chandelier a jewelry-like feel which allows it to take center stage as the statement fixture in a dining room, foyer or bedroom.
After studying art history at Vassar College, Eve Robinson brought her talent and innate sense of style to Polo/Ralph Lauren. Her evolution toward interior design was a natural one. She completed the interior design program at Parsons School of Design and in 1990 founded Eve Robinson Associates, Inc. in New York City. Since that time, ERA has appeared in House Beautiful, Elle Décor, Metropolitan Home, Interior Design, New York Spaces, New York Magazine, and in the interior design books “Designers Here and There”, “Room for Children”, numerous House Beautiful Design books, “Waterworks: Inventing Bath Style,” and Rizzoli’s newly released “Interior Design Master Class.” She has been featured on HGTV’s Interiors By Design program. The firm has been an active participant in the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club Decorator Show as well as the House & Garden Hamptons Show House. ERA has been included in House Beautiful, New York Spaces, and New York Magazine’s list of top designers for many years.
