Laura Casey Interiors creates curated homes which complement our clients' lifestyle with a fresh, colorful and artfully designed look.
What do you love about using antiques in your designs?Antiques add character to a room; the contrast between old and new adds visual interest. I carefully mix periods but don’t want to overwhelm a space, a few statement pieces are enough. I grew up in a house with antiques that had been passed down through generations, so incorporating them into a room scheme comes naturally to me.
What inspires you?Travel inspires me, it’s really true that travel is great for expanding horizons, seeing new cultures, understanding how others live differently. I am always mentally refreshed after a trip and ready to work.

I have a few favorite pieces in our house- an antique console that was my grandmothers, artwork by my mother, and my piano.
What are some details of your signature style?I really love the presence of strong art combined with complimentary interior design. I try to use interesting lighting when the space can hold it. I don’t repeat pieces or looks for clients, each room is a unique opportunity.
What can you never have enough of?Books and simplicity.
If you could design for a fictional character who would it be? Why?Sherlock Holmes, I imagine his cluttered library could use some updating and a refresh. I like interesting clients.
