Describe your design aesthetic in a few words?

I strongly believe that the home is a shelter, and the best way to have this safe feeling is by creating a warm and cozy environment. The best way I think to achieve this is by combining classic with contemporary….splashes of color in a neutral environment.

What do you love about using antiques in your designs?

It instantly brings a feeling of personality and warmth. It is a great combination with more contemporary settings as we usually have these days.

At RubyLUX I can find all that I need in one place and also be inspired by items I discover there.

What inspires you?

Art inspires me a lot, I go to exhibitions and there are always pieces that inspire my work and aesthetics.

I also am inspired by novels like thrones from Balzac with the beautiful descriptions of home interiors, or more recently by a French writer Muriel Barbery in L’elegance du herisson.

What’s your favorite way to celebrate the holidays?

Party party party!!! Get together with friends and family……and a bit of traveling to get some sunshine stocked for the rest of the winter!

What are some details of your signature style?

I use a lot of mirrors, antiqued or even colored.

I have a very big dislike of cupboards so I tend to upholster doors so they not only become a design feature but also it creates a softness.

I tend to use colors and of course, am known for mixing antiques and contemporary.

How would you decorate your table if you were hosting a holiday dinner?

I would put this gold juju hat sculpture in the center and make a “ runner” or “circle” depending on the shape of the table all around it.

Yellow Gold Juju Hat SculpturePut some mousse grass and then fill it in with many small candles and Christmas gold decorations…Some black feathers with the tip that is gold.Solid Rose Quartz and Malachite Serpent BoxThis box is fabulous!

I would use the green dot as a reference and then put is on a dark green take cloth, with pale pink napkins..and all the rest would be gold decorations…gold confetti, gold tassels.

The next item I would use is the Marble bust of a young lady as Flora by John Adams-Acton

I would decadently put a lot of jewelry on her, pearls, lots of necklaces even a tiara and make a bejeweled table with a Christmas red tablecloth!

What would be included in your RubyLUX Holiday Wish List?

This lovely pink upholstered chair in my daughter’s room!Louis XV-Style Diminutive or Child's Bergere Chair in Fuchsia Velvet

This pair of Venetian mirrors for my bathroom!

This rug would go with any contemporary design furniture and help make the setting warmer…gorgeous!Traditional 'Seljuk' Cashmere and Silk Area RugArt Deco Platinum Charms on a 1940's 14K Yellow Gold Wide Bangle Bracelet

And this charming and rare bracelet for myself!
