Anthony Baratta began his design career over thirty years ago after graduating from Fordham University with a degree in Art History. Combining his talents with William Diamond, their firm, Diamond Baratta Design, created a design language which is a balance between pattern, color, history, luxury and ultimately what is modern.
With over 40 magazine covers, Baratta's work has been featured worldwide in such magazines as Architectural Digest, World of Interiors, House Beautiful, House & Garden and Veranda. His own homes have appeared in the New York Times Magazine on three separate occasions.
Baratta has lectured throughout the country at museums, design centers and antique shows. In 2003 the firm's work was celebrated in the Cooper-Hewitt Museum's National Design Triennial: Inside Design Now. Last year William and Anthony were named one of Traditional Homes "20 Design Icons" and were awarded Benjamin Moore's coveted "Hue Award" for lifetime achievement in design.
Additionally, Diamond Baratta has created multiple collections for both Lee Jofa Fabrics and Stark Carpet.
Anthony is especially proud of his two books with William, "Diamond Baratta Design", Bullfinch Press and "All American", Pointed Leaf Press.
Upon William's retirement, Anthony now carries on the work of the firm with his new company Anthony Baratta, LLC and looks forward to many more years of creating unique and inspiring interiors.
