Henri II French Renaissance intricately-carved walnut cabinet made on Ile de France in Paris, during the second half of the 16th century. This furniture form was featured in Helen Fioratti's classic text French Antiques of 1961. Rich patination, wear, minor losses, and minimal restoration consistent with age. Has both original and later hardware. Disassembles into four sections including finial. Sale will include copy of the certificate of authenticity from French furniture expert, Michel D'Istria.
