Fine George I Period Walnut Desk and Bookcase, England, c. 1725; the upper section with glazed mirrored doors which open (with working key) to reveal 3 shelves and 3 drawers; the lower section opens to reveal a velvet lined writing table with fully fitted drawers, cubby holes, and a sliding compartment all raised above four drawers on bracket feet. (86.5 inches tall x 40 inches wide x 21 inches deep closed / 35 inches deep with desk open) Condition: Overall, in good restored condition; mirror plates to upper section have been replaced; with typical nicks and wear to the extremities. Provenance: Kentshire Antiques.
