Regency Mahogany Bow Front Chest of Drawers-This fine chest retains a lovely old surface which is clean and rich in color. The patina and depth of color is a very nice feature not often found on furniture without its original surface. Made in England during the Regency period, circa 1820 featuring a two over three drawers configuration. The chest which is bow fronted is constructed from fine grained mahogany timbers and veneers. Further enhanced by a delicate banding of patterned inlay at the top of the chest creating a nice separation from top to front (photo 6). All the drawers are also inlaid with ebony inlays creating a manly and sophisticated classical border to the drawers. The piece retains its original Prince of Wales Feathers brasses and stands tall on French feet.
