This 17 foot angel sculpture entitled, "Wings of the Republic," is rendered in fiberglass, may be used inside or outside and may be finished in silver or gold. The angel replicates Oskar Hansen's 1936 "Winged Figures of the Republic," designed for the Hoover Dam. The sculpture for sale was originally produced for the 1997 film "Buddy” staring Rene Russo, The statue was also used in "Batman & Robin" (1997) and "Catwoman" (2004) in addition to several music videos.

Norwegian-born, naturalized American sculptor Oskar J.W. Hansen designed many of the sculptures on and around the Hoover dam. His works also include the monument of dedication plaza and a plaque to memorialize the workers.

The original 30 foot (9.1 m) high bronze figures, dubbed "Winged Figures of the Republic," were each formed in a continuous pour. To put such large bronzes into place without marring the highly polished surface, they were placed on ice and guided into position as the ice melted.
