This 1940s buffet by modern pioneer, Gilbert Rohde (1894–1944), for Brown Saltman features solid blond mahogany construction embellished with decorative brass pulls. The piece boasts plenty of storage including three stacked doors surmounting a false-front drawer which pulls down to reveal a cupboard; flanking this central section are two cabinets with doors. The buffet rests on an elegant sculpted base.
