Luxury Design, Past & Present
Streamline moderne table lamp known as the "Cobra" attributed to Norman Bel Geddes for Fairies Manufacturing Co. The lamp features a Bronzed body with a copper shade.
Although generally attributed to Norman Bel Geddes, the aptly named Cobra lamp was produced by Faries Manufacturing Company under the name "The Eye Saver" in their 1946 catalog. This elegant, succinct lamp offers stylish and simple lighting for work or bedside.
The design is also attributed to William F Masterson in 1942 as well but Jean Otis Reinecke holds the 1946 Patent.
