Created by German born artist Gustav Schmidt-Cassel, this statue, titled "Eastern Dancer," is one his most famous works. Featuring a ballet dancer with Eastern styling and dress, the statue was constructed with sweeping gilt, cold-painted with chryselephantine bronze, and carved bone.

This sculpture features a detailed female figure cast in bronze with a cold-painted, gilded chryselephantine finish and stands atop a black marble base.

Schmidt-Cassel's work is prominent in art galleries and high end auction catalogs and are some of the most sought after figural statues from the Art Deco movement.
