Luxury Design, Past & Present
A pair of late 20th century Chinese hand-carved and gilded royal figures mounted on Paul Evans' style Mid-Century bases. Figures are gilded wood and bases are brushed steel and brass. One figure is mounted on an elephant. The other looks like it is mounted on a Chinese version of a rhino (one horned beast). Gilded wood figures are from China and metal bases are from the USA. This is a eclectic pairing of two varied periods, traditional Chinese and Mid-Century Modern.
Dark sections in the upper brass part of bases in the main photo are just a reflection. See other photos to see that they are all one solid brass color.
