Vases which bear the Carneol decoration are among the most beautiful semi-precios gem imitations made by Johann Lötz Witwe. At the time of their produktion the objects made by Johann Loetz Witwe met up the taste of the european audience and brought the Grand Prix at theworldexhibition in Paris in the year 1889 for Johann Loetz Witwe. The first presentation of carneol glass was at the „Deutsch-Nationalen-Kunstgewerbe-Ausstellung" in munich in the year 1888.
The perfect and extravagant cold enamel needs to be pointed out seperatly. Such painting, according to that time, was found on several objects made by Johann Loetz Witwe. The enamel shows typical wears of time and ist undamaged.
