Luxury Design, Past & Present
After 1910 a decorative style began to establish itself in Vienna with the interaction of colours and shapes as a main attribute.
An “Exglas” was a container for beverages that could not be put down, meaning that the contents must be drunk in any case. Usually bride and groom were both offered an alcoholic beverage prior to the wedding to battle the signs of nervousness. It is singed at the top with “WW” and with a stamp on the bottom of the saucer.
