This napkin ring, designed by Josef Hoffmann, was executed by the famous Viennese silver manufacture “Sturm.” It is perfectly executed and marked at the bottom with a “Dianakopf” silver stamp. The mounted stone is a turquoise.
Josef Hoffmann was one of the leading designers of the Wiener Werkstatte. He designed a wide variety of items; furniture, lighting, tea sets, glasses and to ashtrays.The model number in the WW Archive is " S 2167 - S di 43" and there is a picture of this model in the WW Archive in the Museum for Applied Arts Vienna with the inventory number WWF 189-11.
