Koloman Moser was one of the most important designers of the Wiener Jugendstil. He was a co-founder of the Wiener Secession in 1897 and of the Wiener Werkstätte in 1903. His designs for several Viennese traditional companies range among the most valuable objects on the art market and achieve high prices.
The manufacturer Meyr’s Neffe was one of the most important Bohemian glass companies of the time around 1900 and was a supplier for many Viennese firms.
Koloman Moser designed several glass tableware sets around 1900 and the "Meteor" set was one of the most popular ones.
