Luxury Design, Past & Present
In the beginning the Werkstatte Hagenauer produced every-day life items like lamps, ashtrays, boxes but also reliefs and bronze figurines. As Karl Hagenauer took over the enterprise it began to produce their famous female figurines. At start the female forms were being worked into items like mirrors or candelabrums. Later on the two Hagenauer brothers designed impressive busts and reliefs in which the female body was the main motive. The range of these items varied from big to small, from erotic depictures to athletic poses and were exceptionally fine crafted. This figurine was made around 1950 and was designed by Franz Hagenauer. The captivating dynamic and the erotic charisma are typical for his designs. Female nudes of this size and quality range among the most sought after objects of the Werkstatte Hagenauer.
