Luxury Design, Past & Present
Mouth-blown glass with iridescent surface. c.1906
The Cytisus decoration, also called, goldrain, is among the most beautiful decorations ever created by the glassworks Johann Loetz-Witwe Klostermuehle. The decorations of Loetz often follow the dominating artistic taste and so does the Cytisus decoration. Examples for this type of artistic design can be found in the “Beethofenzyklus” by Gustav Klimt. The flower blossom shape and the rhythmic decoration were typical attributes of this creative epoch.
