Luxury Design, Past & Present
In 1920s the Hagenauer siblings Karl and Franz began to design and craft abstract figurines in their Viennese workshop. Today this sculptures marks the beginning of the design of France and Italy of the 1950s and 1960s. Through the strong reduction of the physical , the Hagenauer brothers created a new modernism that has never been achieved before.
The kneeling man dates back to the early 1920s. The physical attributes are displayed dynamic. The nickel plated finish lends this figurine a fine, precious appearance and the execution shows great craftsmanship.
