Luxury Design, Past & Present
In 1920s the Hagenauer siblings Karl and Franz began to design and craft strongly reduced figurines in their Viennese workshop. Through the strong reduction of the physical attributions the Hagenauer brothers created a new modernism that has never been achieved before.
The kneeling man dates to the early 1920s. The physical attributes are displayed very reduced and dynamic. The nickel plated finish lends this figurine a fine, precious appearance and the execution shows great craftsmanship.
