Luxury Design, Past & Present
Sonia Delaunay (1885-1979).
After a Fauve period, she invents with her second husband Robert Delaunay, a form of painting that Apollinaire defines as Orphism. Sonia and Robert Delaunay worked mainly on finding pure color and movement of simultaneous colors, a trend that has inspired other painters after them, including Fernand Léger and Jasper Johns.
