Luxury Design, Past & Present
Designed by Simon Henningsen (1920-1974) in 1963-65 and manufactured by Lyfa. The brass "Kassablanka" pendant lamp constructed with layers of cubes with painted rusty orange and white interior creates shimmering sculptural look like a mobile. It was possibly designed for one of the restaurants in Tivoli, an amusement park in Copenhagen, of which the design, architecture, and decorations (like the famous Divan 2 lamp) Henningsen devoted most of his professional life to. The pendant lamp can also be used as a bedside table lamp by increasing the drop. Measurements (height) are of the lamp body only.
