A mid 19th C Renaissance style fireplace, carved in high and low relief in Italian Carrara marble. The carved Cupid Caryatids supporting an intricate and finely carved frieze of scrolled foliage and blooms with opposing jousting cupids to centre. The end blocks of male and female cameos in the French style. All beneath a huge rectangular and moulded mantel. A very well executed piece in quality Carrara marble.
