Luxury Design, Past & Present
Large long hair ceramic puddle by Jean & Jacques Adnet (1900 - 1984).
Jacques Adnet was an internationally renowned French architect and decorator. He was a key representative of the Modernist and Art Deco movement. He was the very first one to mix iron and glass for furniture, connecting fonctionality and rationalism.
A graduate of Art School of Paris, he exhibited in many fairs in France and abroad. In 1927, he became director of the 'Compagnie des Arts Français' and began to work with many artists like Charlotte Perriand, George Jouve or Francis Jourdain.
