Bookcase from the 1930s by Eugène Printz (1889-1948). This exceptional bookcase is assymetrical and has four shelves. It is covered with palmwood veneer and has oxidized brass ornaments. Signed: Circular plaque marked "EP".
Dimensions: H 160.5 cm; L 120 cm; D 28 cm.
E. Printz is the most famous modernist cabinet maker of the Art Deco period and palmwood veneer furniture are his masterworks.
Palmwood furniture are exceptional pieces which are among the rarest and most sought after furniture of the Art Deco period.
They generally sell for several hundred thousand US dollars at auctions
