Rare Desk and Armchair by Jacques Adnet, Stitched Leather and Skaï, 1950s - image 1 of 7

These desk and armchair by Jacques Adnet are quite rare with its marine type handles. Thea are completely covered with a mix of leather and skaï (faux leather) which is saddle-stitched with brass elements (the undelying structure of the desk is made of wood and the underlying structure of the armchair is made of metal). The desk has 5 drawers, One can be locked by key (lock is new, key is available and working), the 4 other ones have a marine type handle. It has a very convenient size and is covered with a glass panel. This furniture is typical of Jacques Adnet work in the early 1950s.
Its condition is quite good: worth signaling are cuts on the desk top which are barely visible under the glass panel (see photo which has been taken without the glass panel) and some wear at the bottom of the 2 front legs of the armchair (see photos)
