Luxury Design, Past & Present
This furniture is typical of Jacques Adnet's work in the early 1950s.
This coat stand allows to suspend up to 18 garments. It is also an umbrella stand.
The base is made of steel, with two removable brass plaques. The shaft is covered with leather which is saddle-stitched. Two brass elements are fixed on the shaft for holding umbrellas. On top of the shaft is a round brass crown with 6 double coat hangers (black laquered metal) and 6 single coat hangers (brass).
