Lacquered screen

Exceptional 2-sided 4-panel lacquered screen by Pierre Bobot (French 1902-1974). Art Deco.
One side in color lacquer on a background of golded leaf with a decor of magnola flowers and insects. Signed and monogrammed bottom right.
On the back side, harigaki technique, engraved decor of phenix, birds and butterflies.

Dimensions:

Each panel 50x175cm
Overall: 200x175cm

This screen is unrestored and shows a number of small scraches/losses (see photos) mostly on the back side. A small restoration would give it back its full luster.
