A spectacular pair of modernist sconces/wall lights by Jean Perzel. Model created in 1938 published in "Mobilier et Décorations" p 18 January 1938 and p 197 June 1938. Nickeled metal structure with a succession of hand cut glass plates. Each glass plate has been hand cut and therefore is unique. Each sconce is signed. Dimensions: 70 x 19 x 17cm
Lights are mounted on an aluminium frame (see pictures) which is fixed on the wall and on which the sconce is then attached. Wired for European use.
This pair of sconces has probably been manufactured on order due to the size and huge amount of work required.
