Naked Venus by Edouard Cazaux in green, blue and beige enameled ceramic. Signature under the base.
Born in the South West of France, Edouard Cazaux learnt the art of ceramic in the family workshop. He, then attended a double training for sculpture and ceramic at the Beaux Arts and Sevres Schools. At the end of the World War I, he created the war memorials at Saint Jean de Tyrosse and Biarritz. In 1925, he was a jury member for the International Exhibition (Exposition des Arts Décoratifs de 1925).
He received several awards at multiple exhibitions.
His workshop was based in Biarritz.
He's one of the three top ceramists of the French Art Déco period.
