Cees Braakman was head of the design team of UMS Pastoe a famous furniture manufacturer. He went to the US and came across the work of Charles Eames in the Herman Miller factory in Michigan and the developing techniques to bent wood.
He took al these impressions with him to design a lot of bentwood furniture in the early fifties.
This is cabinet documented as CB02 in combination with a early version of shelf system.
The shelves are attached on holders by a wooden pin.
The cabinet and shelf system are in a very good condition
