A fine mid eighteenth century girandole with later replaced mirror plates and retaining its original gilding that has been dry stripped. The plates with divided asymmetric cartouche frames with a profusion of c-scrolls, foliate branches, columns and fences.
Probably originally created as a wall fitment the replacement plates are all dated Sep 22 1927 and the inside of the backboard has a pencil inscription Ginsburg & Levy.
