Intricately carved black obsidian and sterling silver bracelet designed and signed circa 1950 by Taxco, modernist Antonio Pineda (1919-2009). Clasp hallmarked with Antonio crown, 970 and eagle # 17. Both silver and stones are in beautiful vintage condition. This design was featured in the museum exhibit SILVER SEDUCTION: THE ART OF MODERNIST ANTONIO PINEDAand in pictured in that book on p. 131. Antonio designs are included in the permanent 20th century Mexican silver collection at LACMA.
