Luxury Design, Past & Present
Early 1930-40's handmade sterling silver, coral, amethyst and turquoise necklace designed and signed by Taxco, Mexico artist Matilde Poulat. Poulat signed her work Matl which was an Aztec word for water. Necklace is in beautiful original condition with a warm patina that only comes with age. This piece was obtained from a local NY estate. Matl designs are included in the permanent 20th century Mexican silver collection at Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
