This Marquetry Classicism Chair was designed and manufactured in the period of emperor Joseph II from Austria. His reign was from 1781 - 1790.
Joseph II was the son of the emperor Maria Theresia from Austria.
The chairs is manufactured circa 1790 in Austria.
It is made of solid cherrywood with wonderful marquetry made of maple tree and is
upholstered with striped textile fabric.
The back features a vase and the frame is decorated with small circles inlaid with maple tree.
The chair is in good condition.
