A fine quality French Charles X period mahogany, thuya wood and satinwood inlaid cabinet, circa 1840 in the manner of Pelagio Palagi. The fully fitted interior with satin pull-out drawers, of exceptional quality. Parisian cabinetmaker Joseph Pierre-Francois Jeanselme showed similar furniture to Palagi's at the Great Exhibition in London in 1851.
