The domed enclosure of wrought wire and secured to the wooden base of architectural form. The base is veneered in a marquetry of rose- and tulipwood forming a woven pattern, surrounded by a detachable gallery; to one side a small door and the other side with a small drawer in the bottom for cleaning; the little feeding trough with matching marquetry pattern; on four conical feet, and brass circular ring-handle to the bottom; together with a later iron bracket.
