Description: Built from quarter sawn oak and veneered with highly figured crotch Mahogany during the early Georgian period with a book matched convex face, this chest is a superb example of English craftsmanship of the time. The drawers (two smaller above and three larger below) are dovetailed and have a protruding caulk beaded edges. The patina is natural and this piece has wear consistent with age.
