Delicately hand colored prints from “The Botanic Garden,” by Benjamin Maund (1791-1864), the engravings by Stephen Watts after drawings by Edwin Dalton Smith and Maund’s daughters, dating to the second quarter of the 19th century, finely framed and matted. This publication was an educational compendium, the text written by Maund, native of Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, was dedicated to the young Queen Victoria and accompanied by these highly detailed specimen drawings.
