Luxury Design, Past & Present
A fine late 18th century buffet cabinet from the south of France, (Nîmes area) resting on cabriolet legs, with a moulded top and quatrefoil shaped door panels within the arched front with conforming carving above. The skirt is carved and pierced, centered on an urn, marking a transitional element in an otherwise Louis XV case. One shelf inside. Typical splice repairs to the rear legs and partial splice repair to one front leg, all due to old worming.
