Luxury Design, Past & Present
A superb three piece set of George III English barley twist steel firetools with detailed cast brass handles that call to mind a wheat ear, actually composed of acanthus, rosettes and bell flowers. Late 18th century. Very good condition, with expected irregularities and patination to the surface. The handsome 20th century stand is polished steel with a brass ball finial, the base is scored into a grate which keeps the tools from slipping, marked J &J underneath.
