A classic French design with boldly scrolled elements forming the feet of the andirons, supporting the standards which are embellished with decorative turned steel elements, inverted fleurs-de-lys, and which terminate in handsome brass acorn shaped finials. Second half of the 19th century. Very good condition, some speckling, patina and surface irregularities to the polished metal.
