A fine ku form vase finished in a desirable celadon glaze, adapted into a lamp. Pâte sur pâte decoration: applied porcelain clay ornament fired and glazed, generally in a contrasting color, here seen in white, sets off the delicate natural flower and foliate forms against the darker background. Mounted on a handsome Chinese carved hardwood base. Mid 19th century.
