An exceptionally fine carved and gilded ca. 1790-1800 Italian mirror with its original mercury glass mirror plate. The design is very decorative: an encrustation of gilded bell flowers and beading ornament the entire frame. More carved and gilded bellflowers form the larger draped accents above and below the frame along with the handsome urn in the crest and carved ribbons both above and below. Good antique condition, signs of age. Gilding skillfully refreshed.
