A very elegant mirror with a delicate laurel wreath open work carved crest centered on an urn overflowing with three dimensional carved floral elements. The mirror surround is carved with a ribbon scroll and a beaded inner edge fixed to a sage green painted back board. Lovely original gilding and original mercury glass mirror plate with typical sporadic loss of silvering. The crest has some restorations to details, visible only on the back- looks perfect from the front. Late 18th century. Very good condition with typical wear and irregularities.
