A handsome scroll crested walnut profile contains a raised walnut inner moulding terminating with a pointed ogival arch in the top center below a gesso carved stylized gilt shell carving relating to decorative arts of the earlier George I period. The gilded acanthus carved filet surrounds an antique but not original beveled mirror plate with some speckled patination. Ca. 1725-1745.
