A very fine ca. 1810 footed hot water urn of patinated copper, with wonderful sculptural details. A gilded putto serves as the handle for the two part lid... a small opening in the center twists open to allow fresh embers to be added without taking off the whole lid. A trap door in the base allows ash to be removed.
