Luxury Design, Past & Present
A delightful pair of green glazed parrots standing on bits of rockery drip glazed in primrose yellow green and brown. Each is individually modeled with slight differences in detail and proportion and each with stylized yet convincing incised patterns representing feathers and wings. First half of the 19th century. No marks. One with a hairline around the mid-body/tail, both with scattered glaze losses and some chips. Holes at the back of the necks are intentional firing vents.
