Rose Medallion Chinese Export Porcelain Ku Vase
A fine and large Chines export porcelain vase decorated with alternating figural court scenes and wild rose, bird and butterfly vignettes, each vignette separated by fresh colored gilt ground and green scroll framework. Faces are nicely detailed and hints of gilding outline jeweled adornments in the hair. Ca. 1860’s-1870’s. Very good antique condition, variations in color and texture as made, with very light wear to glazes/gilding at the upturned rim. Superficial hairline to glaze underneath the bottom, does not go through the porcelain body, not visible at all on outside.
